About Mt. Spokane Bandstand

The Mt. Spokane Bandstand raises funds to provide uniforms, instruments, equipment, and travel expenses for the Mt. Spokane High School band program.  Our main fundraiser is the annual Quilt and Craft Fair, requiring a huge commitment of time and effort by parents and other volunteers. Bandstand volunteers also provide human resources needed for events such as marching shows, trips and concerts. Parents of current band or color guard students are automatically members of the Bandstand. Other volunteers also work hard to make our bands a success.

In its brief existence as a high school (doors opened in 1997) MSHS has built an acclaimed music program. The jazz bands, concert bands, smaller ensembles, marching bands and color guards have earned dozens of honors in this short time, including local, regional, national and international awards.

More importantly, the MSHS band program plays a vital role in preparing students for a solid future. Discipline, dedication, teamwork, musicianship—these are all positive traits developed through the MSHS band program.  Through trips to out-of-town events, students get the experience of travel… and memories for a lifetime.

Your help as a Bandstand volunteer makes it happen!
